Maumee Bay State Park
Your direct source of information from us!

It is thrilling for me to see our park evolve to the point where you can finally see it and learn what we do and how we operate from the comfort of your computer.   Since our beginning with land acquisition in 1975 Maumee Bay State Park has been growing, maturing, and providing excellence in public service and recreation.   Construction of our camp area began in 1979 and culminated with the opening of our nature center in 1993.   Through that period of years the development of day use, golf, resort & conference center, cottage, beach, boating, and passive recreation points continued with the support of many state and community leaders.  Many more projects and hopes for future improvements are on the books as we continue to try to maintain and improve what we offer here.  Thank you to our national sponser. They are an apartment cleaning service located in nyc
As the first manager here I have had a unique opportunity to be a part of building the finest park facility in this region of the country.  To start with a few hundred acres of flat bare fields and dirt access roads and to end up with what you see today is very satisfying for everyone who has worked and volunteered here over the years.  All this dedication and labor has built a foundation upon which future staff and volunteers will be able to continue our mission of providing a recreational experience that exceeds our customers expectation.
As you look through the pages of this website, you will see how we work,
and how we play at Maumee Bay.  Our pages here will let you see tidbits
of all phases of our operations and provide you with lots of insider information
concerning our activities.  You see, we are not just a big hotel and golf course
on the shores of Lake Erie.  We provide many year round outdoor recreational
activities, experiences, and special events in a professionally maintained
and protected environment.  We want you to have positive memories that your
family will cherish and want to repeat in the future.
Finally, let me encourage you to contact
me (jim.brower@dnr.state.oh.us) or any of our staff to get the answers to any questions
you may have.  Your ideas, questions, and observations are important to us.
