Our pages here will let you see tidbits of all phases of our operations and provide you with lots of insider information concerning our activities. We provide many year round outdoor recreational activities, experiences, and special events in a professionally maintained and protected environment. We want you to have positive memories that your family will cherish and want to repeat in the future.
On a more serious note it should be pointed out that since starting in 1978, Maumee Bay has
finally progressed into a mature state park where time and money is now needed for maintenance
and renovation of our infrastructure. The new facade of the early 90's is now becoming a worn and
the challenges of obtaining state funding during economic downturns is becoming more difficult.
From a statewide perspective we hope this is a temporary situation that we will cycle through and we will soon be able to get back on track with the facility renovations, improvements, and expansions that you as visitors have expected.
Along with financial challenges and staff reductions, Maumee Bay and
her staff have also been given the added responsibility to help administer
and assist the operations of the four state parks making up the
Harrison Lake region which covers the parks west of Toledo to the Ohio
state line. All the staff members of these parks are also working hard to
provide you with an outdoor recreational experience that will exceed your
expecations
or any of our staff to get the answers to any questions you may have. Your ideas, questions, and observations are important to us. Thanks for checking us out!
